Self-pay patients are billed at a fee schedule, service date maximum amount, or you can offer client-based pricing in acknowledgment of their uninsured status.
Additionally, if you first bill a payer, you can define rules to change responsibility to the patient and/or apply automatic adjustments prior to billing the patient. Statements are easy to understand with customized formats allowing you to include specific messages based on aging and other criteria. Minimum balance requirements and small balance write-off is performed automatically. Statements can be printed, emailed or transferred to a mailing service for distribution.
