The American Medical Association (AMA) released the 2023 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code set on September 9, 2022. After being considered by the CPT Editorial Panel, 393 editorial changes were made in the code set aimed to reduce administrative tasks in medicine. The AMA is aiding physicians and health care organizations prepare for the E/M coding changes through releasing authoritative information and offering virtual events on the new modifications.
