The process for registering patients for billing of COVID-19 testing to the HRSA payer is currently backlogged.  The patient registration process was returning ID numbers within a day or two of the request.  Optum is now projecting this will take closer to 2-3 weeks to register patients.  This delay in registration leads to a delay in billing and, in turn, a delay in reimbursement.  There is no proposed resolution or catch-up date being provided by Optum.
